By the invitation of Mr. Roger Fox, the Guild had for the first time a Stand

at the annual Association of British Theatre Technicians trade show,

It was a huge success and we are grateful for the opportunity of meeting the theatre technicians

from around the country once a year at this marvellous event.

Alistair Smith:

ABTT show hailed as ‘record breaker’

This year’s Association of British Theatre Technicians show has been hailed as another record-breaking success by its organiser Roger Fox,

with the two-day event attracting more exhibitors than ever before.

Held for the second year running in three spaces at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London,

attendance remained static on last year’s record-breaking total of around 2,400,

while the number of exhibitors passed 130 for the first time.

Fox commented: “It was a very busy and extremely positive event.

The exhibitors all seemed very happy with the contacts they made.

We are particularly pleased that new groups such as

The Theatrical Guild [the charity for theatre workers backstage, onstage and front of house] came

and got the chance to meet others from within the industry face to face.”
